Perbedaan Harga BBM di Indonesia dan Malaysia Kian Melebar

Pemerintah Indonesia meninjau harga BBM bersubsidi dan BBM “penugasan” tiga bulan sekali. Terakhir, pemerintah mengubah harga BBM per 5 Januari 2016. Berarti penyesuaian selanjutnya akan dilakukan 5 April 2016.

Sementara itu Pertamina baru saja mengumumkan senarai harga baru BBM non-subsidi yang berlaku mulai 1 Maret 2016. Data berikut berlaku untuk DKI Jakarta.

Di Malaysia harga semua jenis BBM diumumkan pemerintah sebulan sekali. Harga terbaru berlaku mulai 1 Maret 2016.

Rakyat Malaysia menikmati penurunan harga lebih besar ketimbang rakyat Indonesia. Untuk jenis BBM yang sama (RON 95), penurunan harga di Malaysia sebesar 8,57 persen, sedangkan di Indonesia hanya 1,32 persen. Jika dibandingan untuk kurun waktu yang lebih panjang, perbedaannya semakin jomplang.

Harga RON 95 di Malaysia tidak dikenakan pajak. Jika kita tambahkan pajak 15 persen seperti di Indonesia, maka harganya menjadi Rp 5,914 per liter. Sedangkan harga RON 95 di Indonesia per 1 Maret 2016 adalah Rp 8.850 per liter. Perbedaan yang hampir Rp 3.000 per liter sungguh sangat besar.

Lebih membuat miris, harga RON 95 di Malaysia plus pajak 15 persen lebih murah Rp 1.136 ketimbang harga premium di Indonesia yang perbedaan RON-nya sangat besar yaitu 7.

Mengapa pemerintah dan DPR tidak tergerak memertanyakan perbedaan yang mencolok itu. mengapa tidak dipertanyakan pula “keganjilan peredaan harga antara Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax, dan Pertamax Plus?

Saatnya kita menuntut transparansi formula perhitungan harga BBM di Tanah Air, termasuk harga Avtur dan harga BBM untuk kapal yang tak kalah mahalnya.

His area of expertise and discipline covers Economics, Political Economy, and Economic Development. His prior engagement includes Economic Adviser to the President of Republic of Indonesia on economic affairs (2000); Head of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1995-98); and Director of Institute for Economic and Social Research at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1993-1995), the Commissioner of the Supervisory Commission for Business Competition (2000-2006); Rector, Perbanas Business School (1999-2003). He was the founder of the National Mandate Party where he was served in the Party as the first Secretary General and then the Deputy Chairman responsible for research and development. He quit the Party in January 2001. He has actively been involved in several NGOs, among others is The Indonesian Movement. Faisal Basri was educated at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Indonesia where he received his BA in 1985 and graduated with an MA in economics from Vanderbilt University, USA, in 1988.

    Tujuannya supaya ada kompetisi
    Eksekutif juga bisa membandingkan
    Antara 2 perusahaan mana yg tata kelola yg efisien
