Perkasa Tiga Minggu Berturut-turut


Luar biasa. Kinerja indeks saham Indonesia dalam USD terms terbaik di dunia tiga minggu berturut-turut. Per 2 Maret, meningkat 9,2 persen (year-to-date). Selain karena indeks meningkat hingga menembus aras 4.800, juga disebabkan oleh penguatan nilai tukar rupiah terhadap dollar AS.

Hingga 4 Maret 2016, indeks saham Indonesia telah mengalami peningkatan 17,56 persen dibandingkan posisi terendah 28 September2015. Jika dibandingkan dengan posisi akhir tahun 2015, indeks saham Indonesia naik 5,47 persen. Namun, jika dibandingkan posisi setahun yang lalu (year-on-year), indeks kita masih mengalami penurunan sebesar 11.52 persen.

Bloomberg juga menangkap geliat pasar saham dan rupiah.

Hari ini indeks saham dan rupiah melanjutkan trend kenaikan. Indeks ditutup pada aras 4.850,883 sedangkan rupiah menguat ke aras Rp 13.159.

Sentimen positif selama tiga minggu terakhir diharapkan bakal berlanjut jika pemerintah tidak  melakukan kesalahan tak perlu. Pernyataan-pernyataan yang saling bertentangan di antara para pembantu presiden tidak sepatutnya dihumbar ke publik. Serahkan saja ke Menko Perekonomian agar sinyal ke pasar kuat.

Harus terus diantisipasi efek balik lalulintas modal, karena tahun ini diperkirakan modal keluar dari emerging markets masih cukup besar walaupun tidak sebesar tahun lalu yang mencapai lebih dari setengah triliun dollar AS.

Kunci bagi perbaikan berkelanjutan adalah pembenahan struktural, antara lain menyemaraskkan industrialisasi dan memerangi berbagai distorsi pasar yang kian meruyak.

Faisal Basri is currently senior lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia and Chief of Advisory Board of Indonesia Research & Strategic Analysis (IRSA). His area of expertise and discipline covers Economics, Political Economy, and Economic Development. His prior engagement includes Economic Adviser to the President of Republic of Indonesia on economic affairs (2000); Head of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1995-98); and Director of Institute for Economic and Social Research at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1993-1995), the Commissioner of the Supervisory Commission for Business Competition (2000-2006); Rector, Perbanas Business School (1999-2003). He was the founder of the National Mandate Party where he was served in the Party as the first Secretary General and then the Deputy Chairman responsible for research and development. He quit the Party in January 2001. He has actively been involved in several NGOs, among others is The Indonesian Movement. Faisal Basri was educated at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Indonesia where he received his BA in 1985 and graduated with an MA in economics from Vanderbilt University, USA, in 1988.
