Kukecup keningnya berkali-kali.
Kebelai rambut  ikalnya yang mulai memutih keperakan

Kubisikkan perasaan hati dengan getaran jiwa

Kupeluk sangat erat tubuhnya seakan lama tak bertemu

Cuaca cerah dan udara sejuk mengiringi kami menyusuri sungai Spree, Berlin. Taman-taman kota di pinggir sungai disesaki warga yang berjemur menikmati sinar matahari, namun tak memancarkan terik. Padahal sudah pukul 19:00, tapi matahari masih enggan beranjak ke ufuk.

“Aku masih hendak menemanimu dua setengah jam lagi,” sapa matahari.

Aku menyendiri di deretan bangku kosong di pojok, di sisi kanan lantai atas beratap langit. Secangkir kopi di depanku menunggu tegukan terakhir, sudah dingin sejak tadi, dihembus angin sepoi.

Sahabat-sahabat mengelompok  tiga jejer di depan. Mereka berseloroh. Sesekali aku berpaling kala mereka terpingkal-pingkal. Tapi aku tak simak perbincangan mereka. Aku tak acuh. Aku hanya hendak menikmati kesendirian, walau banyak orang di atas perahu dua lantai.

Tegukan kopi terakhir telah lewati tenggorokan. Aku beranjak dari kursi belakang ke deretan paling depan. Bagian belakang dan depan dipisahkan ruang kemudi. Di bagian depan, hanya dua sejoli dan aku sendiri.

Di tepi kanan sungai kulihat keluarga satu anak bersepeda, berjejeran. Ada pula sepasang paruh baya di kursi panjang. Di ujung kursi seorang perempuan berbaju tanpa tangan berkacamata hitam menatap jauh lurus ke depan. Perahu berbalik ketika kulihat di sisi kiri sungai dua remaja duduk menjulur di semak, persis di bibir sungai.

Pemandu terus berceloteh tanpa henti. Aku tak peduli karena tak mengerti. Aku tak hendak mau tahu, hanya ingin menikmati senja Berlin dengan sapuan angin yang mulai mengencang karena perahu sudah bergerak melawan desiran angin. Udara dingin mulai menghantam pori kulit tangan dan telinga, kala perahu mendekati dermaga, mengakhiri lamunanku: membayangkan hari tua nanti.

About faisal basri

Faisal Basri is currently senior lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia and Chief of Advisory Board of Indonesia Research & Strategic Analysis (IRSA). His area of expertise and discipline covers Economics, Political Economy, and Economic Development. His prior engagement includes Economic Adviser to the President of Republic of Indonesia on economic affairs (2000); Head of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1995-98); and Director of Institute for Economic and Social Research at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia (1993-1995), the Commissioner of the Supervisory Commission for Business Competition (2000-2006); Rector, Perbanas Business School (1999-2003). He was the founder of the National Mandate Party where he was served in the Party as the first Secretary General and then the Deputy Chairman responsible for research and development. He quit the Party in January 2001. He has actively been involved in several NGOs, among others is The Indonesian Movement. Faisal Basri was educated at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Indonesia where he received his BA in 1985 and graduated with an MA in economics from Vanderbilt University, USA, in 1988.
